Description:
The Department of Health and Humas Services is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 6 month) contractor assignment for the Online Verificaiton (OLV) Project Technical Team. The selected candidate will be expected to provide competent systems analysis and programming for web-based applications written in JAVA and .NET that interfaces with mainframe.
• The current environment includes .Net(Presentation layer), Java(Business layer), IIS, WebSphere that interacts with mainframe systems and other systems using MQ series, SOAP etc.
Required:
•Minimum of five (5) years software development experience using Java (J2EE), Microsoft .NET(C#) and Mainframes.
•In-depth knowledge in standard development tools, programming languages, and technologies such as: Java, Microsoft C#.NET, Eclipse, CVS
•Web services standards SOAP, UDDI, WSDL
•Database platforms and tools such as Mainframe DB2, IMS, MQ Series, VSAM, IMS, Microsoft SQL Server, Endevor, etc.
•Application architectures, tools and frameworks IBM WebSphere, XML, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or later, Microsoft .NET, ESB; Web servers MS IIS.
•Good experience in mainframe DB2, VSAM, IMS, MQ Series and Endevor.
•Excellent communication skills including oral and written
•Ability to work within a team environment or independently
•Experience in uplifting older versions and technologies to newer versions and state-of-the-art technologies, strategic planning, project estimating, monitoring
technical activities, mentoring and training others, and monitoring for quality assurance.
•Ability to multi-task across many large initiatives
