Description:
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking to fill a short term (approx 6 month) contractor assignment. The selected candidate will work in the role of Information Security Analyst and will be responsible for assisting with Vulnerability Management, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Forensics & eDiscovery related processes, infrastructure and tool sets. As a member of the Security Operations team, the analyst will also assist in documenting or reviewing minimum-security baseline for various IT infrastructure components.

Responsibilities & Duties:
•Perform security assessment and analysis of various IT components
•Assist with security of information systems by developing security, certification and accreditation documentation; certification testing; and other similar activities
•Provide internal and external customers and vendors with appropriate support and advice
•Participate in information security audits ensuring technical compliance with security related regulatory requirements (PCI, PII, PHI, etc.)
•Maintain an inventory of the DLP and Vulnerability Management tools used by the Security Operations team and ensure that the tools are properly deployed and configured
•Maintain an inventory of the DLP and Vulnerability Management security processes and procedures used by Security Engineering and ensure that they are followed
•Regularly evaluate new or improved technologies with regard to replacing or upgrading existing database security tools
•Help Improve and/or develop the enterprise DLP and Vulnerability Management security program, process and infrastructure
•Monitor Security Engineering DLP and Vulnerability Management tools and infrastructure to ensure the environment is adequately designed and operating effectively
•Perform Security Engineering DLP and Vulnerability Management tool configuration as necessary to support and enhance the solution over time
•Assist the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide Incident Response and Management program
•Collaboratively work with peers in IT Architecture, Engineering and Operations to ensure operational excellence
 
Required:
•Bachelor''s degree or equivalent with a minimum of (2) two years of information technology or security experience

Preferred: 
•Experience with DLP concepts, technologies and methodologies
•Experience with Vulnerability Management concepts, technologies and methodologies
•Experience with Forensics and eDiscovery concepts, technologies and methodologies
•Experience documenting and reviewing standard operating procedures related to various information security protocols
•Ability to work both as an individual contributor and a member of the team
•Excellent communications and presentation skills
•At least one of the following security certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, GCIA GCIH, CCNA/CCNP, CCSP, MCSE, (ArcSight ACIA, ACSA)
