Description:
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires the assistance of a contract resource to serve as the Curam Release Administrator Lead to support the development and implementation of the North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology(NC FAST)Program.
This position will be responsible for performing and overseeing the Curam build processes for the NCFAST application by:
•Preparing and executing build scripts and troubleshooting build related issues for the program utilizing Curam software tools and procedures as well as other tools and utilities.
•Directing the tasks and activities for the release/build team in the Architecture and Infrastructure Unit of the NCFAST Program.
•Directing the activity in 27 different test, development and production environments utilized by the program. This responsibility encompasses web layer configurations, AIX, Redhat Linux/CentOS and Windows operating systems, the IBM Websphere application configurations with clustering, Curam configurations, IBM IHS Web servers, and other related products.
•Performing functions and tasks associated with the design and development of the NCFAST application.
•Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all NCFAST environments related to builds and configurations and works with the architects, developers, Operations and Maintenance Team and Database Administrators to ensure proper environment functionality and performance.
•Providing technical consultation to business partners, developers and architects, and seek management approval and acceptance of any significant reconfigurations of the applications or the environments.
REQUIRED:
Position requires a high degree of business and extensive technically-oriented knowledge with significant practical experience in information systems activities including:
•Curam software including recent experience with Version 6 and the build processes associated with this software.
•Managing and maintaining the following operating systems: AIX, Linux, RedHat/CentOS, and Windows Server 2008. This should include command-line administration of and comfort with shell-level interfaces.
•Contemporary application hosting paradigms including, but not limited to, 3-tier design, reverse proxies, name and IP-based virtual hosts, and clustering/ load- balancing technologies
•J2EE-specific application hosting, including VM tuning, application tracing/debugging, application deployment, container resource configuration (JDBC, JMS, et al), and security configuration.
•J2EE application building/deployment techniques and tools including, but not limited to Ant, CruiseControl, sundry code version repositories (MKS, Subversion, etc), and automation thereof.
•Various J2EE application containers including, but not limited to, Tomcat, WebSphere, Sun Java System Web Server, and JBoss.
•Network and web application security concepts including authentication/ authorization protocols, transport encryption concepts (SSL/TLS), LDAP and related services, and others.
•Hardware specification evaluation, platform sizing, and capacity planning in support of an enterprise application hosting environment.
•Exp with automation technologies for the related platforms (OS and Application) such as UNIX shell script, Perl, Jython, etc.
•Exp in configuring and tuning Cúram version 5.x and 6.x components, modules, environments and databases.
•Proficiency with AIX, Redhat Linux and Windows operating systems, the IBM Websphere application and components, Subversion, and SharePoint.
•Prefer exp with TeamForge, TeamCity and VMWare.
