Description:
The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 6-8 month) contractor to work in the role as LAN/WAN technical project coordinator for the new State Laboratory Location in Raleigh. The selected candidate must have proven experience in business and technical analysis and installation of large, complex IT network infrastructure projects. This is inclusive of network topology, security and performance. 
Candidate will help in ensuring acceptance and completion of network viability in the new laboratory through the application of an in-depth knowledge in IT infrastructure project management practices and QA methodologies. Candidate will work with supervisor in monitoring contractors’ work efforts and needs a basis of knowledge in state-of-the-art LANs, software and data communication packages in order to ensure properly configured systems so that system malfunctions can be easily diagnosed. Candidate will work in a team environment under the direction of the IT Infrastructure Manager. This position would be document all project-related deliverables, accounting for planned versus actual expenses within project planning tool. This position should be able to develop in-process metrics and have the ability to visualize at the enterprise level.

• Network standards of operation
• Extensive knowledge of IT project budgeting and costing.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong conflict resolution and management, problem solving, and analytical skills are required
• Valid NC Drivers License
• Documentation of Network Infrastructure
• Thorough and updated knowledge PMI standards for software engineering and project management
• New install experience in large complex facility
• Network Technology Project Management Coordination
• Active Directory Experience
• Knowledge of ISO standards and other industry accepted standards and best practices would be an added advantage
