SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
The IT Help Desk impacts every area of SCDHHS. 
The consultant will cover help desk telephones while two specific projects are underway for regular staff. First, the hardware refresh project will require existing staff to deploy 150 new desktops. Second, the Agency is transitioning to Office365 and regular staff will be required to assist in this migration. Both of these projects are time limited.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Client Technologies Technician - Consultant will be responsible for Tier 1 service desk duties that include covering Help Desk telephones, resetting passwords for various in-house systems, creating tickets in our electronic ticketing system, and providing basic Tier 1 troubleshooting. The consultant will be required to work on-site in the Columbia, SC office 40 hours a week for three months.

Duties include:
•Telephone support of Agency staff
•Resetting passwords for in-house systems
•Basic telephone troubleshooting
•Creating tickets in the Grouplink ticketing system

REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Experience in Groupwise and Novell environments preferred.
•Excellent communication skills 
•Ability to effectively work and communicate, in both oral and written, with all levels of the Department.
