Description:
Task Order Assignment 1 of 3: 

The Office of State Budget and Management is seeking three short term (6 month) Java Developers to work on the implementation of a new State Budget and Performance 
Management system. The new system will replace the current mainframe and Oracle systems as well as numerous OSBM and state agency spreadsheet tools, agency-developed and commercial software database tools, and manual processes. This position will work with a team of Java developers doing analysis, design and development of new front-end web forms and other system components based on Java technology. The solution utilizes Google Web Toolkit (GWT), Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Oracle.

Duties include:
•Working with the technical team to develop, test and deploy best-of-breed user interface and back-end data integration for new web forms
•Assisting the application architect with research and development tasks
 
Required:
•Proven accomplishments using GWT, Spring and Hibernate to build and maintain SOA web applications
•SOA is critical
•Significant experience developing Java systems of medium to high complexity
•Experience as a member of a technical team developing a series of related solutions using the same underlying frameworks, database standards and user interface 
standards
•Experience with object-relational modeling frameworks (Hibernate, iBatis, TopLink). Comprehensive knowledge of thin client user interface technology (Javascript, Dojo/JQuery/AJAX, CSS)
•Understanding of relational data modeling and experience writing complex SQL queries
•Experience developing medium- to large-scale solutions
•Familiarity with build / deployment tools (Ant, Maven)
•Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year of professional experience in Java web application development; or equivalent combination of training and experience. 

Preferred: 
•Direct experience with business process modeling / workflow frameworks
•Familiarity with data warehousing data structures and concepts (OLAP cubes)
•Experience or familiarity with system integration via Portal solutions (JBoss, Websphere, or custom)
