Summary:

Under general supervision, contracted personnel serves as Data / Architecture Specialist on complex new application development and maintenance projects involving Internet technologies in a Microsoft .Net Framework environment.  Provides leadership to less experienced team members.  Analyzes SCITS project, architecture, and functional requirements and determines technology solutions to meet program objectives.  Designs, constructs, and implements complex computer systems involving Internet technologies in the Microsoft .Net Internet environment.

month) contractor to assist with integrating the NC DOJ’s CAPTURES system with the SBI’s CAMS system. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing SAS solutions required to monitor the collection of incident and arrest data which is part of NC DOJ’s CAPTURES solution. This resource will also be responsible to help build the solution needed to pass data from CAPTURES to the SBI’s CAMS system.

• Cisco Systems 6500, 4500, 3500 series switches • Local office LANs using Cisco Systems 3500 series switches • Packet Capturing and Protocol Analysis • ASA series Firewalls, VPN services, AAA Services • Network Management Applications: CWSI, DHCP, DNS • Internet Content Filtering and Proxy Services using Websense, • 802.11 Wireless LAN Access Points & Bridges

 

Requirements for the design analysis, testing, development, and implementations of new technologies:

• Network Design/implementation for improved throughput and security between development, test and production networks • Firewall Administration - Including modification and cleanup of ACL rules.

• Content switching for load balancing WWW application servers • Work as team member with systems administrators to evaluate architecture proposals for impact on network security design and operation • Support the installation and provide configuration support of HP Blade System Switches

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

Required:

• Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience supporting complex, fast Ethernet, Layer 3 switched/routed LAN’s.

• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience supporting ASA firewall, VPN Concentrator, TACACS administration.

• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience supporting dns/ dhcp environments.

• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience supporting network management applications and protocol analysis and packet capturing tools.

• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience supporting IP Telephony & VoIP operations on a complex data network.
