Description:
Senior Technical Infrastructure Documentation Writer

The Dept of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a short term LAN/WAN technical writer for documenting the infrastructure within the a new laboratory location in Raleigh. This is inclusive of configuration, communication plans, risk plans, etc normally associated with a technical systems infrastructure project. The selected candidate must have proven experience in technical analysis and documenting a complex IT network. This is inclusive of considerations for network security and mgmt processes. This need is for the New State Laboratory for Public Health and Office of Chief Medical Examiner

Technical writer must be able to organize material and document according to best practices regarding order with clarity, conciseness, style, and use terminology needed for network administration. Person must be able to study drawings, specifications to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail. Person will produce network drawings, text details, set up edit/approval cycle, and logical accessible file system for all documents. Person will document testing results of infrastructure connectivity and configurations.

• Technical Writing, Procedural Documentation 
• Excellent written and verbal communications

• Proven experience in network technical analysis
• Process evaluation
• Technical project participation experience
• Active Directory expertise
