Description:
The Department of Revenue is seeking to fill a short term approx (4-6 week) contractor assignment. The selected candidate must exhibit a thorough understanding of WebSphere Network Deployment (ND) architecture and administration in an AIX/Linux environment.
Including the knowledge/ability to:
Install, configure, and administer WebSphere (ND) V6.1, V7.0 and V7.5 Application, ESB, IHS, and Web Servers and Services.
The most critical skill will be the ability to install both WebSphere ESB ND and ESB Web Server, and document a repeatable process.
Understanding of how WebSphere servers fit in a complex fire-walled, switched and Load-balanced infrastructure.
Experience with Oracle database 10g/11gR2.
Thorough understanding of Java/J2EE concepts (JDBC, JMS/MQ, JSP, JNDI, etc) with experience deploying Java business applications into a mixed environment.
Assist with the creation of Unix scripts that automate recurring administrative activities.
Must be able to create the documentation of the WebSphere installation/maintenance process and procedures.
Identify and recommend opportunities for operational and administrative improvements in current installations.
The Candidate will be configuring and installing both WebSphere ESB ND and ESB Web Server, and will also be documenting step by step procedures for others to follow.
In addition the candidate will be required to document all of the steps involved with configuring Websphere and ESB configurations as part of this assignment.
Required Skills:
• Minimum of three (3) years experience installing, configuring and administering WebSphere Network Deployment (ND) Versions 6.1, 7.0 and 7.5 Application, ESB, IHS, and Web Servers and Services
• Experience working with Websphere/ESB with Oracle version 10 and 11
• Minimum of two (2) years experience Java/J2EE concepts (JDBC, JMS/MQ, JSP, JNDI, etc) with experience deploying Java business applications into a mixed environment
• Previous experience writing documentation
