Description:
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) is seeking to fill a short term (approx 5 – 6 month) contractor assignment. This position will report to the Information and Technology Services Business Manager and assist with the application and maintenance of the department’s inventory and telephone billing system, including the analysis of charge back activities, review and processing of internal and external billing process as well as provide overall support to the administrative staff.
Duties may include:
•Processing of purchase orders and reconciliation of invoices
•Working with vendors regarding billing discrepancies and completing any paperwork necessary for correction
•Assist in the process of hiring and paperwork associated with hiring
•Payroll of temporary and/or permanent staff and/or student workers
•Creation of spreadsheets, flow charts, data entry into the university’s administrative databases as well as department databases
•Assist with special projects
•General responsibilities such as processing of orders for supplies and equipment, filing and distribution of mail
Required skills:
•Minimum of (8) eight years performing administrative responsibilities in an Information Technology environment and/or university environment
•Minimum of an AA Degree in Business Administration is required or comparable experience
•Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
•Ability to perform well in a multi-task environment
•Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
•Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
Preferred:
•Experience working with telephone billing systems
•General understanding of telephone installation processes, ordering and hiring processes
