Description:
The Michigan Business Services Improvement Initiative (herein referred to as MBSii), was created at the request of the Government Performance Improvement Initiative (GPii) from a study performed in August of 2007. The purpose of the study was to identify government-business interactions viewed by the Michigan business community
as needing attention. A total of 58 interviews were conducted with State employees, leading business associations and selected business executives to identify and prioritize government-business interactions in need of improvement. In March of 2009 the Michigan Business One Stop was deployed and is now actively in use by Michigan businesses.
The Senior Programmer Analyst will assist in the continued development and maintenance of the Michigan Business One Stop.
Development Skills:
•8+ years of experience in developing the Web based and Enterprise applications using Java/J2EE environment.
•8+ years of experience analyzing business requirements, generating project specifications, converting specifications into code, and applying knowledge of computer
programming techniques and computer languages.
•6+ years of experience in JSP, Servlets, JDBC and EJB development.
•6+ years of experience in Developing web applications using different frame works like Struts 1.1/2.0, Spring 2.0/3.0 and Hibernate 2.0/3.0.
•6+ years in developing web applications using JavaScript (JQuery), CSS, HTML technologies.
•6+ years of experience with relational databases like Oracle and PL SQL.
•6+ years of experience in developing the web services and SOA applications using Java/J2EE environment.
•4+ years of experience in IBM WebSphere Integration Developer tools and developing message flows using IBM Message Broker.
•Experience in resolving the production tickets by interacting with end users
•4+ years of experience in build and deploying the applications to WebSphere environment.
•6+ years of experience developing technical designs in consultation with other technical experts.
•8+ years of experience developing unit test plans, test data and scripts for application validation and verification.
•6+ years of experience performing extensive analysis and design working on projects of all sizes that require exposure to all aspects of the project life cycle and
creating and maintaining documentation in conformance with established standards.
•6+ years of experience evaluating user requests for new programs or modified program components to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with
current systems, and computer capabilities.
5 plus years required for the following:
•Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience with IBM WebSphere Process server 6.1
•Experience developing solutions using SOA architecture
•Experience in Enterprise Application Code Migration/Optimization and Performance Tuning/Testing
•This person must have Leadership experience and strong communication, analytical and Organizational skills
•Experience with IBM WebSphere Integration Developer, Process Server, and Message Broker are preferred
•Experience with unit and integration testing;
•Experience with code management using version control systems like Subversion (SVN)
•Experience in working with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts
•Developing the project documents using MS Visio and other tools
•Familiar with relational databases like ORACLE and proficiency in SQL;
Additional Skills
•Experience with Michigan government systems and/or Michigan Business One Stop preferred
