Description:
The Dept of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a short term (approx. 12 month) Senior Programmer. This position will provide and assist with the architecture, design, develop, modification, testing, and implementation to uplift the current technology of the web-based Division of Social Services Crisis Intervention Program system from a classic ASP application to a .net application. All changes to this application and it''''s infrastructure must be addressed in a professional manner using the System Development Life Cycle methodology to insure success and to meet the business needs of the Division of Social Services.
REQUIRED Skills:
SR LEVEL REQUIREMENTS:
•Min. of eight (8) years of progressive exp. in .net tech. for application architecture design, programming and analysis
•Min. of one (1) yr exp in architecture, solutions design, & hands-on dev
•Exp in web-based system design, development & support
Specialized Technical Exp:
•ASP.NET 4.0 or later, Visual Studio.NET 2008, C#.NET, Classic ASP
•Team Foundation Server, MS Sql Server 2008 or later
•Web-related technologies (including XML, HTML, CSS, VBScript, JavaScript)
•Web Service standards (SOAP, UDDI, WSDL), IIS 7.0
•Well versed in designing MS SQL databases, MS Sql Server Stored Procedures
•SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
•Strong exp with WCF, web services, JQuery, .Net Membership Providers and LINQ
•Minimum of fiver (5) yrs strong exp designing & working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer)
•Excellent exp with service-oriented architectures (SOA)
•Understanding & exp of classic ASP apps
•Ability to translate and communicate highly technical concepts to both technical personnel & non-IT business users
•Ability to organize, prioritize, & follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures
•Work independently & perform job with minimal supervision
•Demonstrated skill & exp in preparing implementation plans to multiple platforms
•Develop technical recommendations and implement policy & standards relating to the design, creation, security & recovery for web-based applications
•Exp in ensuring all programming for projects adheres to application development frameworks to ensure reusability, maintainability, extensibility and reliability
•Add’l responsibilities include system assessment, performance monitoring, provision of optimum quality services to clients, ensuring clients’ business needs are met
•Provide status reporting, project monitoring for quality assurance, & adhering to procedures
