1. Five years experience in designing and implementing high volume
multiple database environments (specifically Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g or higher).
2. Three years experience in:
• Design strategies for migration from hierarchical structures to
relational databases and integrating those on multiple platforms
• Design and implementation of data warehousing and data mart
activities in a heterogeneous database environment
• The development and implementation of operational standards and
protocols
• Knowledge transfer, transition of systems and mentoring
Desirable Experience Preferred
Good communication and interpersonal
skills:
1. Five or more years experience performing development work in Oracle
10g or Oracle 11i against a very large database (over a billion rows)
2. Five or more years experience performing development work using
Micro Focus Net Express and Micro Focus COBOL against a very large database (over a billion rows)
3. Five or more years experience performing development work using
Oracle PL/SQL. SQL against a very large database (over a billion rows).
4. Four or more years experience performing development work using the
middleware Tuxedo against a very large database (over a billion rows)
5. Five or more years experience performing development work using
PVCS across multiple environments
6. Five or more years experience performing development work using
PERL to create batch executable scripts and to manipulate files under the control of Maestro scheduling in a production environment.
7. Five or more years experience in development work on a durational
database system which maintains historical data, both demographic and financial, on approximately six million individuals.
8. Five or more years experience with implementation of Oracle and
other software upgrades, and ensuring that the system continues to perform accurately and efficiently.
