The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS ) is seeking a short term (12 month max.) contractor to serve as a Program Consultant for the Office of MMIS Services Replacement MMIS DDI Project.
Responsibilities may include but will not be limited to: Providing project management and oversight support for the state in the areas
of:
. MMIS Operations oversight for early Provider operation activities, as well as DDI activities to include Transitioning to Operations, Provider Services, Provider Outreach activities (i.e. provider communications and outreach activates directly to the provider community), Medicaid Incentive Payment Services (MIPS) and other directly related areas.
Required
. Highly organized individual
. Expertise in MMIS and an emphasis in Transitioning to Operations during the Design, Development and Installation phase, Provider Services, Provider Outreach activities (i.e. provider communications and outreach activates directly to the provider community) either during the Transition to Operations Phase or the Operations phase, or both.
. Knowledge of the management of concurrent large project / program management best practices and SDLC considerations appropriate for multi-year, multi-release, concurrent project solution delivery.
. Experienced in the planning, design, development, testing, evaluation, implementation and maintenance of healthcare delivery systems.
. Knowledge of Medicaid and experience in the implementation of Medicaid Management Information Systems.
. Current PMI PMP Certification
Ability To:
. Lead both financially and technically complex projects . Work with subject matter experts as well as internal and external stakeholders in order to both document and validate project execution processes . Consult with senior level decision-makers on an on-going basis, to develop long-range and or short-range strategic alternatives . Solve problems of high complexity and serve as a key resource to others
Preferred:
. Previous State/Federal government experience
