IN4073-1 - Network Administrator with Novell's ZENWorks/Identity Manager/Access Manager/eDirectory, DHCP/DNS, SAN, CommVault, NAC, Susie Linux, and Windows Network Server experience

Note: There is a strong possibility that the successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to become a district employee during or following this assignment.
Scope of Work
• Provides excellent customer service including on-call support to end-
users
• Administers and maintains network end user accounts, permissions and
access rights
• Deploys, configures and maintains servers, including email,
application, file and print servers and software when required.
• Uses industry best practices for server administration, including
backups and recovery
• Creates and maintains computer images containing district-approved
and licensed software;
• Installs approved network software and deploys network applications
through ZENWorks
• Perform hardware and software upgrades as required when newer
version software packages are released.
• Migrate, maintain and support Novell’s ZENworks 7 to Novell’s
Zenworks Configuration Management Suite.
• Maintain and support Novell’s Identity Manager supporting an
Edustructures SIF and eDirectory to eDirectory environment.
• Monitor and maintain network DHCP and DNS services.
• Monitor and maintain the CCSD data center SAN.
• Monitor and maintain the CCSD data backup solution (CommVault)
• Support the installation and testing of Impulse Point NAC.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols
• Expertise working with Novell Netware, Susie Linux, and MS Windows
network server operating systems.
• Expertise in deploying applications and workstation management using
ZENWorks 7 and Configuration Management.
• Experience directly supporting Novell’s Identity Manager
• Experience directly supporting Novell’s Access Manager.
• Hands-on experience with servers, storage area networks.
• Attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; oral communication
skills and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-
pressure environment
Education: Associates Degree in Networking Technology or related field or certifications including Certified Linux Engineer, CNE, MCSE, etc.
Functions include but are not limited to:
a. Work independently or as a part of a team under general supervision supporting the Charleston County School District's data servers, workstation management, application support, and data backup/recovery.
b. Coach more junior technical staff.
c. Administer Novell Netware 6.5, OES (SUSE Linux), and MS Windows server supporting enterprise applications and file/print sharing.
d. Administer directory services within Novell's eDirectory and MS Active Directory.
e. Build, deploy, and maintain Netware/OES Linux/MS Windows physical & virtual servers.
f. Maintain high availability server and storage systems including SAN and VM environments.
g. Support workstation management, imaging, and software deployment requirements by having a strong understanding and ability to work with ZENworks 7 plus ZENworks Configuration Manager 10/11.
h. Administer file/system backup and recovery procedures using CommVault enterprise backup software.
i. Performs other duties assigned by the Senior Network Engineer or other Charleston County School District administrative staff.
