Network Security Engineer with SAN, NAS, A/D, WAN, DNS, DHCP, WINS, SSL, TCP/IP, Sun Solaris, AIX and Windows Server Experience

Description:
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) is seeking a short-term (approx. 6 months) for a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for UNCC’s infrastructure services including architecture and security. Design, operate and assure UNCC’s infrastructure with greater flexibility, security, efficiency and scalability.
Required:
•Vulnerability management
•Network security engineering
•Systems administration Knowledge, skills and expertise with Security engineering with infrastructure platforms including:
•Distributed (Sun Solaris, AIX and Windows Server)
•SAN (HDS) and NAS (Netapp)
•Virtualization (VMWare)
•Client technologies (Windows and MAC platforms)
In depth understanding of:
•Network and systems architecture
•Network and transport protocols
•Operating system internals
•Security design analysis
•Scripting / System administration programming (PowerShell, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
•Designing and building automation of common administrative tasks
Expert level experience with infrastructure elements such as A/D, WAN, DNS, DHCP, WINS, SSL, TCP/IP.
Preferred:
•Relevant certification(s)
•Minimum Bachelors Degree
