PROJECT MANAGER (PMP) with iPad, gantt, office, teaching, spreadsheet, SMART and project documentation Experience.

Location: Columbia, SC 

Duration: 8 months

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

•Specifically define all elements of the project, and identify current stages and constraints

•Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to specify projects, coordinate work, and monitor progress

•Provide solutions for moving forward and working with constraints based on current district infrastructure and the possibility of infrastructure enhancement

•Establish timelines, project stage dependencies, resources and their responsibilities with regard to each stage of the project

•Establish project leads and committees as appropriate based on project involvement

•Regularly scrutinize progress of project in order identify potential risks and take action toward their resolution

•Develop communication procedures among the stakeholders and project resources. Facilitate communication by participating in weekly conference calls with CCSD project resources, supervisors, key stake holders, and when necessary, external company representatives. 

•Prepare and coordinate professional services engagements associated with the project such as integration services and professional development

•Monitor and communicate project status to appropriate CCSD supervisors and/or supervisory committees on a regular basis

•Monitor all project-related equipment and materials shipments and ensure their timely  delivery

•Prepare and review project documentation including schedules, work flow, receivables, deliverables, reports and budgets as required and report findings to management effectively and frequently

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL CONSULTATION:

•Maximize, through professional development and project oversight, efficient use of currently placed technology assets (SMART products and PCs) as well as those assets (iPads and Mac Books) being integrated through the one-to-one technology initiative

•Work with SIG leadership, Educational Technology and Tech ICs to plan technology professional development for teachers at all 1:1 iPad SIG schools

•Provide professional development to teachers at all SIG schools during established planning periods

•Monitor and communicate professional development status to appropriate CCSD supervisors and/or supervisory committees on a regular basis

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1.Ability to manage a 1:1 iPad implementation project in multiple secondary schools

2.Strong verbal and written communication skills

3.Ability to use appropriate project management related software, such as Gantt chart creation programs, and spreadsheet and database programs

4.Familiarity with iPad functionality and iPad K-12 integration methodology

5.Ability to develop, deliver and manage effective and appropriate technology professional development to secondary school teachers

6.Proficient with K-12 technology integration methodology, including knowledge of software that may be used in a K-12 environment (e.g. SMART software, Microsoft Office, online learning platforms)

7.Proficient with use of currently placed technology assets; primarily SMART Technology Product

PREFERRED SKILLS:

1.5+ years experience delivering and K-12 professional development

2.Basic understanding of Information Technology infrastructure

3.SMART software certifications

4.Classroom teaching experience
