Description:
This position is to provide Technical Architect services for the North Carolina Division of Information Resource Management (DIRM) on the NC FAST (Families Accessing Services through Technology) Case Management Project with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This position will provide architectural guidance and design for design, development and implementation of a Document Management System to support the NC FAST business needs. The architect position interacts with NC FAST technical staff and business staff to design solutions based on technical knowledge of the Cúram product architectures and NC FAST document management requirements. Duties include translation of business level requirements in order to effectively translate into technical specifications the selected document management solution; providing technical expertise in modifying/customizing the software application; acting as the technical reference for Cúram-related design, development, testing, and deployment knowledge; coordination and consideration of specific business processes that may be impacted by the project; and providing guidance to resolve functional issues. This position is responsible for leading the technical design process and providing leadership and guidance for architectural decisions and for conveying technical issues to non-technical audiences in a comprehensible way. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and program standards as well as compliance with DIRM and DHHS policies and best practices.
Required:
•Must have experience in providing architectural direction utilizing Object Oriented Design and solutions for business and technical designs for large complex applications using Enterprise Java technology.
•Must have experience with HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, open source Java framework, Struts/Springs, Ajax (JQuery, Dojo), SOA, WebSphere, WebServices, and JMS.
•Experience in providing application support, development, configuration and administration of document management systems such as Documentum or IBM FileNet.
•Experience with the following technologies is required: Documentum 6.x, Windows OS, PDFAqua, Oracle, DCM.
•Excellent customer service skills ability to contribute and convey technical concepts clearly and effectively within a team environment
•Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form with management and co-workers
•High degree of business and technical knowledge, which may include but is not limited to experience with system architecture and component diagrams.
Preferred:
•Experience with GxP validated systems and SharePoint is preferred.
•Good knowledge of Cúram Software
