Description:

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 3 month) contractor assignment to provide IT Operations Support Services in the area as UNIX/LINUX Systems Specialist. This position will be responsible for the operations and support of UNC Charlotte’s Solaris UNIX Server, Solaris/SUN Cluster environment and will contribute to LINUX system administration.

Required:

•Minimum of seven (7) years of Solaris UNIX server administration

•VMware experience

•Knowledge of certificate management, LDAP and proxy services

•Banner experience 

Preferred:

•Minimum of five (5) years of SUN Cluster administration in an Oracle Database environment

•Minimum of five (5) years of Linux server administration

•Certified - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5/6
