IN416 Business Analyst with BRD, Child Welfare/casework/NCANDS/AFCARS, Oracle Warehouse Builder, and Cognos/BI tools experience Location: Rensselaer,NY Duration: 12 months Positions: 1
Mandatory Requirements
Note: Candidates not meeting the following mandatory requirements as contained in the RFP will not be considered for further evaluation: Proof of meeting education requirement must be submitted.
1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Minimum of three (3) years experience: examining the methods and processes of the business flow within a diverse public or private service delivery organization. (Pass/Fail)
3. Minimum of three (3) years experience: assessing and documenting existing business processes and identifying unnecessary steps. (Pass/Fail)
4. Minimum of three (3) years experience: incorporating value-added steps into a new process through the translation of business practices into terminology and desk products that seamlessly merge computer and microcomputer technology with work processes. (Pass/Fail)
5. Minimum of three (3) years experience: assessing and documenting existing business processes and identifying where improvements can be made or where new processes can be installed. (Pass/Fail)
6. Minimum of three (3) years experience: researching “best practices” of comparable organizations and analyzing the feasibility of installing them where needed. (Pass/Fail)
7. Minimum of three (3) years experience: developing new methods and procedures, implementation plans and schedules, and written reports. (Pass/Fail)
8. Minimum of three (3) years experience: eliciting and documenting business, user, and system requirements. (Pass/Fail)
9. Minimum of three (3) years experience: preparing Business Requirements Documents (BRD). (Pass/Fail) Desirable Experience Preferred for These Positions
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Superior knowledge of the English language and elevated ability to understand and be understood. (20 points)
2. Three (3) or more years experience with:
- Child Welfare data sets
- Federal Child Welfare reporting requirements (Casework Contacts, NCANDS, AFCARS)
Child Support Enforcement is not substitutable. (20 points)
3.Five (5) or more years of experience:
- Analyzing current business processes, related system use and data flow
- Re-engineering alternative system processes and data flow
- Data Warehouse data mapping and data migration experience.
- Using Oracle Warehouse Builder. (30 points)
4. Four (4) or more years experience
- Developing and testing of complex reports against relational databases such as Oracle,
- Using tools such as Cognos 8 or other business information tools. (30 points)
