Description:
The Office of State Budget and Management is seeking a short term (6 month) Oracle Data Specialist and Applications DBA to work on the implementation of a new State Budget and Performance Management system. The new system will replace the current mainframe and Oracle systems as well as numerous OSBM and state agency spreadsheet tools, agency-developed and commercial software database tools, and manual processes. This position will work with the IBIS technical implementation team, working primarily on data modeling, database development, ETL processes, and data loading in Oracle.
Primary Task Include:
•Migrating data from legacy systems into a new data model
•Providing database assistance for forms and reports development
Required:
•Bachelor’s degree with (3) three years of professional experience in Oracle database development; or equivalent combination of training and experience
•Proven accomplishments using data loading and ETL tools
•Understanding of relational data modeling and experience writing complex SQL queries
•Working knowledge of web-based Java technology, including basic programming skills and building/deploying web applications
Significant Experience:
•Oracle SQL Loader and PL/SQL
•As an “applications DBA”
•Creating and managing schemas, tables, constraints, indexes, and materialized views
•Managing database access for developers and end users
Other Experience:
•UNIX (Solaris)
Preferred:
•Experience with the design and development of data warehouses and cubes
•Extensive knowledge of Java application development, including Spring, Hibernate, GWT, web services (SOA), Eclipse, and Tomcat
