Description:

The North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 6 month) assignment to provide Computer Systems Analysis Services. The selected candidate must possess knowledge of and have experience with expert level process definition, and SOP documentation as well as the ability to directly apply this knowledge and experience in order to lead and mentor others. 

Responsibilities & Duties:

•Performing process definition and user documentation activities

•Use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio to document and diagram processes

•Leading the definition and administration of quality standards for SOP and Desk Instruction templates

•Mentoring others with less experience in the creation and revision of SOPs and DI

•Application of knowledge and experience in a fast-paced, large project environment
 
Required:

•Minimum of four (4) year college degree, or equivalent training and experience

•Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience in writing Standard Operating Procedures and Desk Instructions in a technical environment

•Minimum of three (3) years of experience in planning and conducting a comprehensive process definition and documentation program within a large scale project environment

•Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel 

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Demonstrated experience documenting business processes at varying levels of detail

•Expert level process definition and SOP Documentation

•Knowledge of industry standards for process definition and documentation including Standard Operating Procedures and Desk Instructions

Ability To:

•Direct, lead and mentor others

•Analyze and document complex business processes 

•Analytically and solve problems

•Assist and mentor others in process definition and documentation activities.

•Gather and interpret relevant data and information 

•Understand technical designs and specifications

•Interact professionally with a diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts

Experience:

•Experience with industry standards

•Experience planning and conducting process definition activities

•Experience working within Systems Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) projects

•Experience working on large, complex systems in a project environment

Preferred:

•Understanding of operational processes in financial or related business environment 

•Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

•Experience in writing requirements
