Job Description:

This request is for an Oracle Developer with report development experience.  The person in this position will work on DJJOY data modeling/design, ETL, and validation within the OCFS enterprise data warehouse architecture.  In addition, this person will assist with Cognos report development, including creating packages, cubes and reports, and applying security.  This position is needed in order to meet the vast data/report requirements for DJJOY and related to the DOJ system enhancements.

 

Mandatory Requirements:

1.     Associate’s degree

2.     Must have a minimum of two years application development experience using one or more of the following concepts and technologies:

Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Development

·         UML

·         XML

·         N-tiered client/server development

·         Web services

·         JAVA based tools such as:

·         Websphere

·         Enterprise Java Beans

·         IBM HTTP Server

·         Ant – Java build tool

3.     Must have a minimum of two years experience performing development work in one or more of the following specialty areas:

·         Unisys COBOL                      

·         Micro Focus COBOL

·         MAPPER                              

·         RDMS

·         C++                                      

·         Visual Basic 6.0

·         Visual Studio .Net  (or latest version)

·         IIS

·         COM+

·         Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, or higher          

·         Windows NT/2000/XP (or latest version of Microsoft Operating System)

·         Telecommunications

·         GUI

 

Desirable Experience Preferred for These Positions

1.    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Superior knowledge of the English language and elevated ability to understand and be understood.

2.    Four or more years demonstrated experience working in a data warehouse setting utilizing an enterprise data warehouse with dependent data marts in an Oracle environment, performing development work in PL/SQL; using advanced Extract/Transform/Load techniques including bulk select, bulk insert, arrays and dynamic SQL; plus demonstrated experience developing and testing maps in Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB), data versioning techniques, and developing detailed incremental ETL processes.

3.    Four or more years demonstrated development and testing of complex reports and cubes against Oracle databases using tools such as Cognos 8 and PowerPlay, including implementing multi-layered security through Cognos.
