Job Description:

The NC Dept of Health and Human Services, Division of Information Resource Management (DHHS/DIRM) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 6 month) contractor assignment to work on several network-related projects. The projects include the Dix Campus network security zoning project, the Dix Campus LAN and WAN High-Availability project.

This will include a review of the current Dix Campus VoIP phone system to determine the best disaster recovery and business continuity process for the system, a review of current ITS VRF and DIRM managed firewall rulesets to determine what can be cleaned up. Other aspects include working with Network Monitoring Group to complete Dix Campus monitoring projects and assisting with the SNMP server monitoring project and with network equipment IOS and firmware upgrades as needed.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

Required:
* Cisco CCNP Voice or Cisco CCNP
* Cisco CCVP Certification
* Cisco CCSP, Cisco CATOS and IOS
* Cisco Unified Communications 8.x
* Cisco Call Manager 4.13(7)
* Cisco Unity 3.1(5)
* IPCC 3.5(4)
* MCS OS version 2000.4.5bSR12
* Cisco ASA 55xx and Cisco Pix 515
* Cisco Catalyst 6500, 4500, 3750, 3560
* Cisco VPN3000
* Must be able to work independently, meet deadlines, provide detailed written status reports, documentation, work on multiple simultaneous projects and track status and progress on each. 
* Must be able to work either leading a team or as part of a team. 
* Must be able to interact with various inter and intradepartmental groups on both a technical and personal level.

Preferred:
* Cisco CCIE Certification with a specialization in Cisco VoIP technologies and services and network security
