The Department of Revenue (DOR) is in need of an ASP.NET developer who
can assist the department with the development of web applications for
its intranet, extranet and internet web development and maintenance.
Development tools include Visual Studio, PowerShell, SQL Management
Studio, SQL Server and Business Intelligence. It is also desirable for
them to have experience with InfoPath, SharePoint Designer and the
SharePoint object model. The candidate will be assigned development
work utilizing these toolsets.Required Skills:
• Five years experience developing ASP.NET applications using Visual
Studio and C#
• Three years experience using JavaScript
• Three years experience with database design or administration
• Three years experience with enterprise source control
• One year experience configuring Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Strong requirements gathering and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to convey .Net-related knowledge and provide training for
DOR development staff Desired Skills
Minimum knowledge and experience of the capabilities of various
technical environments are desired including:
• One year experience using Visual Studio 2010
• One year experience developing custom components for SharePoint
• One year experience with PowerShell scripting
• One year experience using InfoPath
• One year experience using SharePoint Designer
• Experience with SharePoint implementations in a government setting
• Experience using XML and XSLT
• Experience using CAML
• Experience using CSS, HTML, DHTML
• Experience using debugging tools (Fiddler, Reflector)

• Assist in requirements gathering, development and delivery of the
department’s intranet, extranet and internet applications.
• Provide mentorship to department developers who create web
applications.
• Work with enterprise collaboration project team to assist in
identifying technical skill gaps that need to be addressed.
• Assist in the identification of tools needed to develop solutions
for the department’s web application development.
• Work with the ISD on transferring knowledge to department staff.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during
development.
• Maintain communication and a positive working relationship with
project leadership and staff.
• Mentor agency staff in requirements gathering and use case analysis
for development projects.
• Develop .Net and web based applications under ISD’s direction using
DOR’s standard applications. Deliverables
• Develop distributed applications for the department’s internet,
extranet and in internet.
• Increase development expertise by working closely with DOR staff
through implementation and migration.
• Work with project leadership and business units to assist in the
development of an agency-wide implementation plan for each
application.
• Provide weekly status reports to project management teams.
• Other duties related to ongoing projects may be assigned.
