Desktop Support Technician with PC config, backup, MS Office/visio/project, Symantec, network printers/copiers, imaging/installation, LANDesk, Novell Netware and Adobe Acrobat experience

Our client is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor assignment. The selected candidate will provide desktop support assisting with the deployment of new desktops, laptops, and tablet PCs.
The activities to be performed are:
1. Configure PCs from a LANDesk image
2. Backup data from existing PCs and export to new PCs
3. Configure new Outlook accounts
4. Copy personal e-mail folders from the DHSR network to the ITS Exchange server and then delete the personal e-mail folders on the DHSR server
5. Setup Symantec EndPoint Protection on all new PCs and EndPoint Encryption on all new laptops and tablets and desktops located in leased buildings
6. Deploy network printers/copiers and local multi-function printers
7. Setup staff to allow the scanning of information to a folder as well as e-mail
8. Upgrade Verizon air cards
Required:
1. Demonstrate thorough knowledge and practical experience in desktop and laptop imaging, setup and deployment in a networked environment
2. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of deployment of local and network printer devices
3. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of desktop/network diagnostic and resolution skills
4. Demonstrate thorough knowledge and practical experience in imaging and loading various software applications
5. Demonstrate thorough knowledge and practical experience in determining access to resources (printers, files, folders, etc.)
6. Configuration and deployment of local and networked printers
7. Demonstrate thorough knowledge and practical experience of using LANDesk
8. Ability to work under minimal supervision once tasks are assigned
9. Security conscious, customer-focused, team player
10. Excellent customer service skills
11. Demonstrate knowledge and practical experience in security settings and practices
12. Demonstrate knowledge and practical experience in Outlook, IE, etc.
