QA Tester with SQL scripts, business analysis and government experience

Location: Olympia, WA 
Duration: 7 months

2. Qualifications- Mandatory and Highly Desirable Experience and Qualifications
a. Mandatory Experience and Qualifications:
Journey to Senior level with at least three (3) years of IT experience in business, systems and data analysis.
Proven ability to communicate and coordinate with vendor staff to translate and deliver OSPI user requirements into accurate data delivery. 
Proven ability to translate requirements and technical specifications into formal test cases, test scripts, execute tests and collect test evidence
Proven ability to review and generate SQL Scripts to test delivery of vendor information and reports. 
b. Highly Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge or previous experience working with government projects, applications, and users.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and facilitate communication amongst its members.  
Excellent PC skills, particularly in writing business documents and in creating and maintaining spreadsheets, with the ability to analyze business requirements

Project Scope Of Work and General Information:
Develop test objectives and strategies with project leadership and key stakeholders.
Design tests.
Review Test Plan sample from other projects; revise, review, and obtain approval with project leadership and key stakeholders.
Write Test Cases and Test Steps.
Review test plans (including Test Cases and Steps) with vendor and obtain buy-off and commitment.
Facilitate completion of test entrance criteria (including verification that vendor unit tests have been completed and a review of the vendor submitted quality assurance test evidence).
Run tests and collect evidence.
Manage processes for testing, defect identification and resolution.
Work with project management to determine defect resolution pathways for both release 1A and release 1B.
Work with vendor personnel to resolve defects, facilitate build/promotion decisions.
Communicate test and defect resolution process; facilitate completion of test exit criteria.
Prepare test results deliverables, demonstrate tests as requested, and obtain deliverable acceptance.
Work within the overall test activities and coordination between OSPI and System contractors throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Participate in the development of design documentation for the remaining portion of the project. Ensure design specifications meet specified requirements.  
Create requirement specification, test, and training deliverables and act as a reviewer for deliverables.
