Skills and experience:
- Designing, developing, unit testing, and implementing program and database code required for single and multiple tier business applications and systems in distributed multi-user environments.
- Experience with Windows server class operating systems, Windows client, and internet browser environments are necessary.
- Developers will have experience designing, testing and implementing relational databases,including a full understanding of SQL scripting, and using MS SQL Server. Developers must have experience with Microsoft, J2EE or other mainstream integrated development environments and tool sets.
- Developers must have the ability to provide guidance, peer mentoring and knowledge transfer for State staff, have a full understanding of testing processes & procedures, and be willing to work within the agency’s configuration management process.
- Experience in programming, testing and maintaining program code for systems using configuration and object management tools.
- Developers must have experience programming thick or thin GUI’s / clients and web based systems.
- Knowledge and experience with development technologies such as .NET, JAVA, IIS, Web Services, IBM MQ Messaging, middleware, and IBM Portal including WSRP.
- Knowledge and experience with the software development lifecycle and associated deliverables
