THIS PROJECT IS WORKING ON client CLINICAL DATA WAREHOUSE (CDW) WHOSE MANDATE IS THE EOLLOWING;
The client CDW team is building a data warehouse from the clinical data supplied by four hospitals in South Carolina, Palmetto Health in Columbia, Greenville Hospital System, Spartanburg Regional and MUSC Health ln Charleston. This data is collected real time into a data store and then is loaded into a database structured around patients and visits. lt is finally loaded into a data mart that allows researcher to View de-identified data for the purpose of conducting research.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze, define and help develop/test a multi-institution, cross—state clinical data warehouse that enables researchers to effectively and efficiently initiate, manage and execute clinical trials and associated tasks.
REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF lMPORTANCE)
SENIOR PROGRAMMING SKILLS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS
— Experience with data warehouses and reporting
· Working knowledge of databases and competent in structured query language (SQL). Knowledge of all join types and function Syntax
Independently Write/modlfy/understand SQL views and stored procedures
— Can trace data flows and transforms across multiple systems
- Can monitor and improve ongoing data quality measurements, verification, issue management and resolution
· Can develop and manage a test plan
- Can ensure developed application meets expectations from a quality perspective before release to production
— Strong communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE)
ACTIVE AND CONTRIBUTING TO OPEN SOURCE PROJECTS.
— ETL (Extract Transform Load) experience
- Experience with data warehouses and reporting structures
- Experience in enterprise reporting
- Familiarity with health care regulations and Security policies
— Health care domain knowledge
- Experience using the Agile methodology.
— Experience with SQL stored procedures (either PL/sQL, Pg/sQL, Transact-SQL)
— Knowledge of open source development and its principles
