SAS developer with Enterprise BI Server, SAS/STAT, Enterprise Guide, SQL Server, and government experience

Description:
NCDOJ is seeking an experienced SAS developer to assist with the NC-DEx/CAPTURES project in Raleigh, North Carolina. This resource will be responsible for developing crime reporting solutions using SAS tools.
Essential Job Functions:•Review database design specifications to ensure consistency and standardization within the database;
Review and validate requirements/solution design
Develop program specifications as well as write and validate programs using the SAS system tools to develop crime reports which meet specifications;
Test and validate reports;
Provide technical assistance and training on SAS products to DOJ project resources;
Create and maintain documentation for the crime reports;
Coordinate with NC DOJ Business Analyst and Statistical Analysis Management to refine report requirements and review results
Required skills:
•SAS Enterprise BI Server
•SAS/STAT
•SAS Access to ODBC (connectivity to Sequel)
•SAS Enterprise Guide
•5 years analysis & programming experience with SAS 9.2 and SQL Server 2008 R2
•Experience with requirements analysis, development, testing, execution, maintenance, documentation, and archival of SAS reports
Preferred:
•BA / BS computer science or information technology
•Extensive knowledge of SAS, SQL and other programming languages.
•Strong communication skills and effective team participation
Analysis and Solution Definition
•Ability to quickly come up to speed and understand the project objectives
•Proven track record reviewing recommended solutions and identifying strengths and weaknesses and suggesting areas of improvement.
•Experience Reviewing and editing requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
•Experience developing functional specifications and system design specifications.
•Technical Recommendation and Testing
•Experience coordinating testing efforts.
•Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
•Works with client personnel to identify required changes.
•Communicates needed changes to development team.
