Description:
NC DHHS Office of MMIS Services is seeking a results-oriented candidate with a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate abundant skills and experience as an IT manager in environments where projects are centered around highly complex sets of business models with a full complement of technology based solutions applied to support the business models. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are required. The position will be responsible for working with project teams and key stakeholders to help successfully provide enablement to multiple vendors during the development, design, installation (DDI) stages of the project. Additionally, the IT Manager supports a team of direct reports and will provide work assignments, guidance, and effective decision assistance to both the supported team members and to other State staff including the senior staff manager.
In addition to the above, the candidate will have demonstrated strength in managing IT projects with a high degree of knowledge in the area of enterprise architecture including security architecture for projects that must meet and comply with Federal, State, and department level architecutre and security guidelines. This position will lead the IT Technical Services team in support of the technical architecture throughout the remainder of the project including the effective testing, training, and implementation of the technical components.
Required:
1.Managing a team that provides technical knowledge, skills, and experience across all facets of a systems replacement project.
2.Strength in Enterprise Architecture where the enterprise is represented in a multitude of architecture based depictions including infrastructure, network, security, and technoloogy manifested as both tool sets and configurable software, middleware, and components.
3.Strength in software lifecycle development including configuration managment, change control, and change management
4.Strength in working within across matrixed teams for the purpose of obtaining buy-in, agreement, and or approval within all stakeholder organizations.
5.Ability to act as a contributor to all matters technology or technical in natures.
Additional Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering preferred
* Minimum 10 years of progressive, successful experience with technical solutions involving enterprise architecuture and multiple technical architectures, tools, and configurations in a COTS solution development environment.
* Four (4) references will be required prior to final interview.
