NC Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) is seeking a short term contractor (approximately a 3 month assignment) for a network administrator to assist in the support of WRC’s network infraNstructure on an as needed basis. The administrator will perform network duties to support the Microsoft and Cisco environment at the Commission’s headquarters facility in Raleigh NC.

Required: 
• Minimum of five (5) years network administration experience in a Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory environment
• Experience applying security patches, bug fixes and installing applications on servers
• Experience managing a layer 2 Cisco switch environment with a multiple VLAN configuration
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Experience with imaging hard drives for bulk deployment using Symantec Ghost
• Experience with enterprise backup technologies such as Veritas Backup Exec
• Experience with virus/malware technologies at both the server and client level
• Ability to utilize various state enterprise level authentication technologies for network security and control
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot technology problems rapidly and work with third party support vendors.

Preferred:
• Experience with Cisco 3750 switches
• Experience with Microsoft Office 2010
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange technologies (OWA and Outlook clients)
• Experience in creating system images for deploying pc’s
• Experience supporting staff both locally and remote
• Experience supporting a virtual server envrionment
• Experience supporting various network attached devices (printers, copiers, NAS).
