The Employment Security Commission (ESC) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 12 month), contractor assignment to assist the User Services Group (USG) to address support requirements for workload for the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Division. The selected contractors will collaborate with ESC’s Help Desk, Network Engineering Technical Support Team, and Enterprise Applications Team in performing required assignments.

Specific needs of the UI Division relate to automation initiatives including the following:
1. Prepare a software build, install software on 134 desktop computers, install computers at a new physical location for the ESC Remote Services Center.
2. Deploy approximately 850 copies of Microsoft Office 2010 to PCs and laptops for UI Division employees.
3. Deploy approximately 850 copies of the Microsoft Outlook 2010 mail client to PCs and laptops for UI Division employees.
4. Convert UI network accounts from Novell Directory Services to Microsoft Active Directory and remove Novell Netware client for UI user PCs.
5. Convert approximately 850 UI PCs to Windows 7 operating system.
6. Convert approximately 850 UI PCs from Trend Micro anti-virus to McAfee anti-virus as required by ITS.
7. Convert UI desktop and laptop PCs from Safeboot Encryption to McAfee encryption.

On site assistance from USG at the ESC central office is needed to support RSC staff. Technologies employed by ESC include:
Microsoft Windows XP SP3 desktop operating system will be replaced by Microsoft Windows 7 during the period of this work order.
Trend Micro Office Scan anti-virus software will be replaced by McAfee Total Loss Protection (anti-virus). 
Microsoft Outlook 2010 client will be deployed to replace Mozilla Thunderbird as the agency’s Email client for the Exchange Mail service provided by ITS to ESC.
 
Required:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems. 
Minimum of one (1) year of experience with the Windows 7 operating system.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience installing and troubleshooting McAfee (Safeboot) encryption
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP protocols as applied to desktop client systems.
Strong consulting skills as necessary to collaborate with ESC employees in the Information Systems Division
Ability and desire to communicate with end user clients in a courteous and professional
