QA Tester with medicaid, web applications, SQL, MS Office, HP QC/ALM, bugzilla and agile/scrim experience

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Divison of Medical Assistance is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 3 month) contractor assignment. The selected candidate''s role will be a Quality Assurance Specialist and will assist with testing the NC-Medicaid Incentive Payment System (NC-MIPS) development project.

 

Minimum Skillset:

• Minimum of two (2) years of Manual Testing experience involving web applications 

• Clear understanding of SDLC 

• Ability to de-construct Business Requirements, create test plans & test cases 

• Ability to identify, document defects and verify defect fixes 

• Intermediate SQL skills 

• Basic HTML/XML skills 

• Strong MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) skills 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Good knowledge about current browser trends

Preferred:

• Experience with HP QC/ALM or any other standard Test Management tool 

• Ability to generate a requirements traceability matrix 

• Strong defect tracking tool knowledge, preferably Bugzilla 

• Experience working within a fast-paced team environment with frequent code releases

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
