Business Analyst with QA testing, functional specifications, MMIS, medicaid, healthcare claims processing and government experience

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) Services is seeking to fill a short term (approx 12 month) contracto assignment. The selected candidate must be a result-oriented individual with a strong work ethic. The position requires excellent problem solving and analytical skills to ensure that the claims processing system functionality meets State business and technical requirements.
The selected candidate will work with business and technical staff and key stakeholders to evaluate the functional solution designed to support services related to Medicaid, Public Health and Mental Healthclaims processing.
In addition to the above, the candidate will leverage their experience to ensure a successful solution delivery by participation in the creation, execution and evaluations of test case based on industry standards and the MMIS claims processing and prior approval system design. This candidate will also be responsible for communicating effectively with other team members and project management in support of projects goals; and will review project deliverables in support of other team members to help ensure quality and adherence to standards and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
• Understanding of government organizational policies
• Demonstrated ability to execute multiple concurrent objectives
• Experience with creating, executing and evaluation test cases to determine the validity of MMIS processing and prior approval system functionality
• Full analytical capability based on understanding of technical architecture and functional design
Required Skills:
• Ability to translate business requirement into high-level and detailed functional specifications
• Healthcare claims-related experience
Preferred Skills:
• MMIS system implementation experience
