Desktop Support Engineer with networking, active directory, imaging, voip, ipad, MS Office/Win OS install and printers setup experience

Dept of Health and Human Services is seeking a short term resource for the prep, execution and post support of the New State Laboratory move. The LAN/desktop administrator must be familiar with technologies such as desktop deployment, printers, along with some knowledge of active directory services. Experience in imaging desktops, laptops installs and Win 7/8 OS, MS professional suite, etc. Person should be familiar with file and print services, network interfaces, data transfers, etc. Tasks will be performed between buildings as equipment and services are relocated to the new building location.
Responsibilities include:
* Set up and deploy desktops, laptops, kiosks, printers, audio video equipment
* Imaging hardware
* Physical move of equipment at two locations
* Troubleshoot and repair specific needs
* Assist in LAN configurations
* VoIp telephone deployment
* Coordinate with active directory administration
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Required Skills:
* Knowledge of desktop/laptop, iPad, setup, problem determination and control
* Loading OS and image to computing units
* Knowledge of peripheral setups for printers, file servces
* Knowledge of security software and settings for application and use
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Have excellent customer service skills
* Be security and safety conscious
Preferred Skills:
* Desktop, laptop, mobile computing device knowledge
* Loading software to computing devices
* Establishing peripheral communications
Other Requirements:
* Lifting, reaching, bending, crawl
* Work on state premises
* Local travel between locations within Raleigh, Chapel Hill area
* Win XP, Win 7, 8 IE, Firefox, Outlook experience
* Self starter
* NC Drivers License
* Ability to work in a fast pace facility move environment
