Oracle DBA with UNIX/Solaris, SQL*Loader, External Tables, PL/SQL, Legacy Data Loading (Mainframe), OEM, SQL Developer, performance tuning, Explain Plan, CA ERwin, Oracle Advanced Queuing and Oracle Message Gateway experience

The primary responsibility of this position includes supporting the Lead Database Administrator in all aspects of database administration activities and the ability to work in a project-based, team-oriented environment.
 
Required Skills: 
- 5+ years of recent professional experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in a UNIX environment.
- Expert administration skills with Oracle Enterprise Edition RDBMS. Experience with Oracle Enterprise 10.2 is a plus.
- Expert with loading legacy data from mainframe systems (via SQL*Loader, External Tables, and/or PL/SQL scripts)
- Expert with SQL (DML and DDL) and PL/SQL. Assist development staff with writing PL/SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, and Packages by using best practices, standards, and code-optimization techniques. Create/replace insert/update/delete triggers.
- Manage and implement schema changes, including but not limited to creating/altering tables, constraints, indexes, grants, and sequences. The candidate should be able to write DDL and DML via command line tools (SQL*Plus, Toad, etc.) as well as GUI tools (OEM, Oracle SQL Developer, etc).
- Coordinate and implement schema changes to various environments (Development, Test, Training, QA, and Production)
- Assist various projects with performance tuning PL/SQL Stored Procedures and SQL statements. Experience using Explain Plan.
- Ability to assist other teams in stress-testing applications, locating bottlenecks, and recommending solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Desired skills: 
- Experience with UNIX commands and shell scripting. Experience with Solaris 10 is a plus.
- Experience with schema design and data modeling tools. Experience with CA ERwin 4.x is a plus.
- Experience with scheduling and propagating messages to/from legacy systems via Oracle Advanced Queuing and Oracle Message Gateway.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
