SharePoint Developer with Designer, Visual Studio, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, XSLT, Infopath, Photoshop, Illustrator/Fireworks, Access, site templates, and master pages

The NC Department of Transportation Project Management Office is seeking a short-term SharePoint Interface Designer for its internal and publicly facing Sharepoint implementations. The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for page creation and layout within the Sharepoint 2010 environment, based on the needs of the various NCDOT business units.
Candidate''s responsibilities include:
•Creation of libraries and lists within SharePoint, based on established guidelines.
•Adding documents and content to the Sharepoint site with proper meta data.
•Creation/editing of data-driven SharePoint web-part pages, as well as pages containing static HTML content.
•Creation of subsites within Sharepoint while maintaining appropriate layouts and navigation schemes.
•Use of the Data View and Content Query web parts to create specialized views of existing data.
•Manually changing pages with HTML/Javascript/CSS as needed to match up with business needs.
•Maintaining site branding and design standards across all pages.
•Creating pages and content with speed and responsiveness for the end user in mind.
•Clearly communicating status reports, in verbal and written form.
•Collaborating as a dedicated team member and demonstrating the ability to clearly communicate with other team members.
•Consulting with clients and providing input and recommendations to management.
•Assisting in training SharePoint site owners on effective SharePoint strategies.
Required Skills:
•Minimum of (1) one year experience of SharePoint page editing and front end design/branding
•Minimum of (5) five years experience of website design/development
•Active experience participated in previous SharePoint implementations, ideally with SP2010
•Experience with the SharePoint-based creative design process, with SP style sheets, site templates, and master pages.
•Experience with customizing the SharePoint settings that define the look and feel of SharePoint solutions.
•Effective organization and presentation of large amounts of content to end users.
Required Tool Experience:
•
SharePoint Designer• A text editor, like Visual Studio, Notepad++, VIM
• CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery
• Excel and Access
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of XSLT
• Form development experience with MS Infopath
• Experience with page prototyping with paper or mockup software
• Knowledge of information architecture
• Knowledge in the UX area
• Design software: Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Fireworks
• Experience in working with developers integrating web applications into SharePoint
