Description:
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 6 month) contractor assignment for DHHS Division of Public Health - NC Immunization Branch to provide a combination of in-house and webinar trainings pertaining to the use the NC Immunization Registry (NCIR) system. This contractor position will work as an integral part of the NCIR Training Team. Our objective is to adequately train any potential or existing user accessing the NCIR system. All NCIR users trained will be expected to complete a competency test and must achieve a passing score to demonstrate that the user has been trained effectively.
The selected candidate will be expected to:
• Develop a thorough understanding of the NCIR functionality
• Led training to offices requesting assistance and or identified by the immunization branch as requiring additional training
• Work effectively with people on all educational levels
• Maintain effective working relationships with NCIR departmental personnel, health care professionals in medical provider offices and other medical organizations.
• Communicate clearly and concisely in oral and/or written form with health professionals and the general public
• Stimulate interest and cooperation among these various groups
• Carry out follow up sessions with users after being trained to use the NCIR.
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing training to:
• Specific statewide NCIR system on-site, and off-site instructors
• Office staff that request follow-up training from the Immunization Branch
• Offices that are beginning to use the NCIR
• Offices in need of assistance as identified by the Immunization Branch
• Training for new NCIR users
• Training for providers using the NCIR incorrectly
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Education:
• Bachelor degree in health education or a related field or a combination of training and work experience in a related field
Minimum of two (2) years experience in the following areas:
• Experience in job and task analysis of computer web based training
• Experience with utilizing e-learning and computer based training tools as a training method
• General knowledge of methods and techniques used in preparing and disseminating educational information to health care professionals.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Expertise with basic computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
