Sr Jave/J2EE Programmer with Servlets, JSP, EJB, JDBC, Hibernate, iText, Tiles & jUnit, Eclipse or RAD, struts, PL/SQL, Powerbuilder, Spring, and Flex framework experience
Location: Lansing MI
Duration: 1-3 years
Positions: 1Each senior candidate will score between 1 and the maximum possible, for each category. Points will be determined from review of the experience section NOT from "Summary" area of a resume or application. • 5 years experience developing complex computer systems in Java/J2EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JDBC, Hibernate, iText, Tiles & jUnit) using an IDE such as Eclipse or RAD
• 5 years experience developing complex computer systems using the STRUTS Framework
• 5 years experience working directly with a system owner to gather maintenance &/or enhancement requirements, to produce design specifications (inc UI design) and coordinate testing (inc UAT)
• 5 years experience writing in SQL and/or programming with PL/SQL
• 3 years experience programming computer systems using Powerbuilder language versions 9 or higher
• 2 years experience programming with Spring and Flex frameworks
The work associated with this position includes:
• Work with system owners to capture requirements for changes and/or enhancements to existing applications
• Build a strong working relationship with system owners and understand their business needs
• Analyze, design, code, test and deploy applications as required
• Troubleshoot problems as they occur
• Support the migration effort to move the legacy client/server application to the web environment
• Prepare testing scenarios and work directly with the system owners during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Create and/or modify database stored procedures and make other database changes as required
• Follow all standards and established proceduresTASKS:Senior Programmer-Analyst support is required to assist with the following tasks, in a production setting: • Review user requests, capture and analyze requirements, design solutions, code and deploy system revisions.
• Develop testing scenarios, procedures, test data and coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
• Initiate action to resolve ambiguous or non-standard business requirements.
• Migrate applications to use new methods for Authorization and Authentication
• Plan medium size maintenance projects (less then 1000 hours) using the standard development methodology.
• Manage database changes by developing solutions and/or coordinating with database developers
• Support the migration effort to move the legacy client/server application to the webDELIVERABLES:Deliverables will not be considered complete until the Project Manager and/or the application owner has formally accepted them. Deliverables include: • Project Plans for projects greater than 200 hours (estimated)
• Detailed documentation for requirements and design solutions
• Regular and frequent communication with system owners and users
• Application code
• Screen design documents
• Application release sign-off documents
• Testing scenarios/test cases and test data
• Documented test results
• Maintain workflow, information notes and attachments for maintenance requests
• Coordinate for User’s Guides & other documentation with a business audience
• Creation and/or update of technical documentation
• Data models and standard data dictionary contents using tool provided
