IN4222-1 Security Administrator (CISSP/Checkpoint) with security appliances/software deployment, networking, firewall, VMWare virtualization, VPN, Cisco hardware, and government/education experience

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under limited supervision, assist SCJD Network Staff, in particular the security administrator, with the deployment of new security appliances and software.
Assist with the configuration of new security appliances, reconfiguration of existing appliances, and re-routing of network traffic through new appliances
Assist with the installation of new virtualized security appliances for use with SCJD production virtualization environment.
Provide guidance and support with the implementation of the virtualized security appliances as well as best practices for implementation.
Assist with firewall rules changes that are needed to utilize new virtual and physical appliances being deployed.
Assist with VPN connectivity (site to site and remote client) to various locations within the state.REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Must have Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification along with being CheckPoint certified.
Must have experience with higher education and government customers, as well experience with Nokia Appliances and CheckPoint Power1 security appliances
Must have experience configuring CheckPoint security products that integrate with Active directoryPREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
At least ten years in the information technology field with 5 years of experience specifically pertaining to information security.
Knowledge of VMware virtualization products
5 years of experience in the networking field with configuration experience with Cisco hardware including but not limited to switches and routers.
Experience working in Government and higher education environments.
Must be able to travel within South Carolina.REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
