.Net Developer with ASP.Net, C#, Ajax, T-SQL, TortoiseSVN/Subversion and medicaid/healthcare/government experience

NC DHHS Division of Medical Assistance is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 6 month) contractor assignment for a Senior .NET Developer resource for the NC-Medicaid Incentive Payment System (NC-MIPS) development project. The selected candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent web user interface software development skills in a .NET environment and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The candidate will assume a key technical role working as a part of a small development team to deliver the solution. This position will report to the NC-MIPS System Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
• Working with project team and key stakeholders to help successfully development and maintain NC-MIPS.
• Leverage user interface development experience to ensure a successful solution delivery by designing and developing software to meet functional requirements
• Create web application software supporting multiple user groups
• Develop ASP.NET pages written in C#
• Develop windows services to process transactions
• Create XML Schema’s as new transactions are needed, and process incoming and outgoing XML documents.
• Utilize HTML/CSS, JavaScript/AJAX knowledge in webpage development.
• Interact with Business Analyst and Testing Staff in order to assist with technical requirements.
• Generate Ad-Hoc queries on demand utilizing T-SQL.
• Available to generate Reporting Services reports as needed.
• Support MIPS Portal, AV Portal, and External Transactions as the need arises.
• Keep TortoiseSVN (Subversion) updated with all code changes.
• Code according to Microsoft development standards utilizing Visual Studio Code Analysis to check your work.
• Abide by DBA SQL Server standards.
• Follow HIPAA Privacy rule.
• Weekly status updates to management.
• Working in a fast past environment.
• Leverage experience to envision solutions to problems and to execute the solutions.
Required:
• Minimum (5) five years of progressive, successful experience in a software development environment
• Solid HTML, JavaScript, and AJAX development skills in a Microsoft .NET 3.5 and 4 environment
• History of successful ASP.NET user interface development
• Experience with Query and other widely used libraries
• Expertise in CSS with experience creating intuitive user interfaces
• Ability to design clean user interfaces that use simple constructs to support complex data entry
• Ability to create designs, estimate levels of effort, and implement designs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks to best meet overall goals.
Preferred:
• Microsoft .NET server development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
