QA Tester with Java, J2EE, Weblogic, Frameworks, Portlets, CMS, Web Services, XML, AJAX, Flash, COTS, .NET (C# or VB), LoadRunner and Vugen test tools Experience.

Description:

The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks a contractor resource (approx. 12 months) to assist with the development and implementation of NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) using CĂșram Software. The selected candidate will act as the Performance Tester to coordinate and ensure proper load, stress, and performance testing required for all NC Fast software applications.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Reviewing and understanding all business

• Design, and functional requirements

• Gathering proper system requirements in order to create suitable performance test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, load test scripts, and test data

• Setting up 

• Executing bottleneck, baseline, scalability, and breakpoints tests to ensure benchmarks are met

• Evaluating performance measurements and analysis of test results

• Working with other project team members to diagnose performance related problems

• Assist with coordinating and ensuring that all testing activities and deliverables are on time

• Verifying all NC Fast software applications are thoroughly performance tested and meet performance test goals.

 
Required Skills:

• Demonstrate an understanding of infrastructure design, mid tier, and server technologies; software testing lifecycle best practices, procedures, and methodologies

• Excellent use case, test case definition skills, and strong load test scripting skills using HP Performance Center or LoadRunner, and VuGen test tools. 

• Experience supervising system/integration, regression and performance testers in accordance with industry testing standards and practices that support an iterative development cycle. 

• Knowledge of and experience in implementing a large enterprise COTS application

• Experience executing software load and performance testing in custom enterprise application software development environment

• Experience in a formal QA role, or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3 years programming and performance test scripting experience using VB, .NET (C# or VB), C, C++, Java, or other programming languages

• Test experience with, or basic understanding of Java, J2EE, Weblogic, Web Application Frameworks, Portlets, Content Management Systems, Web Services, XML, HTML/DHTML/XHTML,AJAX, Flash, ActionScript and other Web based tools. 

• Experience and proficiency using HP Performance Center or LoadRunner, and HP Quality Center

• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management, developers, project staff and end users.
