Description:The Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor
assignment to serve as a technical leader. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating
and providing direction for the activities of IT professionals in support of DOT’s upcoming (Electronic Crash Reporting)
ECR rollout. ECR provides an electronic means for law enforcement agencies to submit crash reports to the Division of
Motor Vehicles (DMV) and will be rolled out to interested law enforcement agencies over the next year. Responsibilities & Duties:• Ensuring software deployment effort progresses is efficient and timely • Coordinating work between the DMV, the law enforcement agencies, and the technical teams• Reviewing the work schedules of assigned staff on a periodic basis• Assuring schedules and deadlines are being met and activities have sufficient staff support deadlines • Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with unit software development lifecycle• Establishing quality assurance measures and monitoring adherence to the measures• Conduct meetings and document decisions • Manage customer expectations
Required Skills:-• Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading IT projects or teams • Minimum of three (3) years of experience gathering and documenting system requirements • Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading groups or projects using java and XML
