Description:
The Department of Technology Management and budget (DTMB) Agency Services Division is requesting one (1) senior project manager for up to 1984 hours to lead, perform, and oversee activities to prepare for and implement IT solutions to meet federal requirements for an insurance exchange in Michigan. This includes managing development of Requests for Proposals (RFP) to bid out services such as Project Control services and IT services to meet requirements for the insurance exchange.
Required:
• Current valid and verified PMP certification.
• 7+ years’ experience in project management skills utilizing formal methodologies, including change management, risk identification/mitigation, issue escalation and status reporting. Experience with health related projects is desired.
• 5+ years’ experience writing statements of work including requests for proposals.
• 5+ years’ experience with project management tools, in particular, MS Project.
• Project management experience with responsibility to manage multiple project managers.
• Project management experience managing vendor contract deliverables.
• Documented and verifiable experience with State of Michigan SUITE project management and system engineering methodologies (PMM, SEM) and the companion templates, guidebooks, and processes is desired.
• Strong ability to effectively make oral and written reports and presentations and prepare clear and concise metrics graphs and charts.
• Ability to maintain records, prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.
• Strong ability to communicate technical terminology at levels appropriate to the audience both orally and in writing including executive project stakeholders.
