Description:
The Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) is seeking a resource to perform a wide variety of tasks for the MDOT Office of Communications. These include managing social media (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube), designing and developing high-profile web pages, developing, editing, and posting video, sound, animation and other types of media, integrating third party functionality (e.g., Flash, Google Maps), and supporting and administering web applications.
Required Skills
Five years experience using advanced features in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook and Excel.
Five years experience using advanced features to create graphic images in complex documents with programs that include: Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, SnagIt, Paintbrush, Flash, Dreamweaver, 3D tools Newtek Lightwave and Anark Studio, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
Five years experience in IT documentation and/or training.
Two years experience administering social network channels including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and blogs.
Two years experience providing web site administration and management.
Two years experience using content management tools for web content delivery and management.
Two years experience creating high-profile web sites for public viewing.
Two years experience with travel/transportation-related communications.
Demonstrated experience using Google Inventor to create software applications for the Android operating system.
Ability to focus on the details of a project, ensuring that material is complete and accurate and ensuring the integrity of web pages.
Ability to user verbal language to communicate instructions questions, concerns, needs, risks, issues, etc.
Possession of an associate's degree in a related curriculum such as technical writing, web development, or multimedia development.
