Oracle Developer with ETL/SQL Developer/Toad, PL/SQL, Solaris, data modeling and Application DBA experience

Location:  Raleigh, NC 
Duration: 6 months
Positions: 1 

The Office of State Budget and Management is seeking a short term (6 month) Oracle Data Specialist and Applications DBA to work on the implementation of a new State Budget and Performance Management system. The new system will replace the current mainframe and Oracle systems as well as numerous OSBM and state agency spreadsheet tools, agency-developed and commercial software database tools, and manual processes. This position will work with the IBIS technical implementation team, working primarily on data modeling, database development, ETL processes, and data loading in Oracle. The primary tasks will be migrating data from legacy systems into a new data model and providing database assistance for forms and reports development.
 
 
Required:
Proven accomplishments using data loading and ETL tools such as SQL Developer, Toad, or other mainstream Oracle tool
Significant experience with Oracle SQL Loader and PL/SQL programming
Significant experience as an “applications DBA”, including creating and managing schemas, tables, constraints, indexes, and materialized views; and managing database access for developers and end users
Experience with UNIX (Solaris)
Understanding of relational data modeling
Experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries (All critical skills will be covered in either a written or oral technical exam)
Bachelor’s degree with (3) three years of professional experience in Oracle database development; or equivalent combination of training and experience
