Business Analyst with QA testing, bpm/bpr, web applications, business rules and government experience

Location: Albany NY

Positions:  1    

Duration :  12 months

Mandatory Requirements

1.     Bachelor’s degree 

2.     Minimum of three (3) years experience: Examining the methods and processes of the business flow within a diverse public or private service delivery organization 

3.     Minimum of three (3) years experience: Assessing and documenting existing business processes and identifying unnecessary steps.                

4.     Minimum of three (3) years experience: Incorporating value-added steps into a new process through the translation of business practices into terminology and desk products that seamlessly merge computer and microcomputer technology with work processes 

5.     Minimum of three (3) years experience: Assessing and documenting existing business processes and identifying where improvements can be made or where new processes can be installed. 

6.     Minimum of three (3) years experience: Researching "best practices" of comparable organizations and analyzing the feasibility of installing them where needed. 

7.     Minimum of three (3) years experience: Developing new methods and procedures, implementation plans and schedules, and written reports. 

8.     Minimum of three (3) years experience: Eliciting and documenting business, user, and system requirements. 

9.     Minimum of three (3) years experience: Preparing Business Requirements Documents (BRD) 

Desirable Experience Preferred for These Positions

1.     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Superior knowledge of the English language and elevated ability to understand and be understood. 

2.     It is desired that the candidate have 5 years hands on experience with business process definition, business rules and business process decompositions, and writing user acceptance test plans and procedures/user manuals in functional terms that can easily be understood by end users of systems 

3.     It is desired that the candidate have 5 years experience analyzing and understanding verbal and written documentation and procedures 

4.     It is desired that the candidate have 3 years experience in writing test plans; use cases and scripts; executing test cases; managing defect tracking; validating and reporting out results. 

5.     It is desired that the candidate have 3 years experience in a system testing environment, including test plan development and the “how to” of navigating through the test environment, validating test results and reporting in a detail and summary manner to the development team. 

6.     It is desired that the candidate have 3 years experience writing specifications, process flows, business process re-engineering analysis and design, and designing complex (n-tier) interactive web applications. 

7.     It is desired that the candidate have 3 years experience extracting business rules from existing computer applications/systems.
