Description:

The NC Department of Revenue (NCDOR) is seeking to fill a short term (approx

6 month) contractor position. The selected candidate will need to posses expert knowledge in the

following:

. IBM P series hardware and software

. AIX,(5.2, 5.3, 6.1)

. Websphere Network Deploy

. ESB (6.0, 6.1, 7.0)

. JAVA (1.4.2, 1.5, 1.6)

 

This position will involve moving legacy applications off IBM P650, P670 and more running AIX,(5.2, 5.3, 6.1) to IBM Power6/7 hardware running AIX version 6.1. Some systems are moving to newer P series but will still need older JAVA and AIX versions. Some systems cannot be upgraded to 6.1 but still need to migrate to newer hardware. Familiar with ITIL best practices Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

Required:

. Demonstrated expertise with streamlining, automation and consolidation . Performance tuning/monitoring . Problem determination/Root Cause analysis skills

 

Expert Knowledge in the following:

. IBM P series hardware and software

. AIX,(5.2, 5.3, 6.1)

. Websphere Network Deploy

. ESB (6.0, 6.1, 7.0)

. JAVA (1.4.2, 1.5, 1.6)

 

Preferred:

. PowerVM/PowerHA

. Linux Skills (either RHEL or SLES)
