Sr Java Programmer with Netbeans, Spring, Hibernate, Subversion (SVC), Analyst, Functional Design, PL/SQL, Visio, MS Project, and MI State experience

Requirements

The person in this position must possess the following experience:

     Familiarity with the State of Michigan, Bureau of Commercial

Services/Corporation Division business processes – three years or more experience required

     Java Netbeans IDE (Spring/Hibernate) – total of four or more years

experience required

     Subversion Version Control – three years or more experience required

     Lead analyst experience – three years or more experience required

     Lead Java developer experience – three years or more experience

required

     Functional Design documentation – six months or more experience

required

     PL/SQL -  three or more years experience required

     MS Visio – three or more years experience required

     Microsoft Project – one year or more experience required

     MS Excel –  three years or more experience required

     MS Outlook – three years or more experience required

     Windows XP operating system – one year or more experience required

 

Client requires one senior programmer/analyst staff person with thorough knowledge of Java development/Spring and Hibernate Frameworks using NetBeans IDE, ORACLE/PLSQL, and version control using Subversion.  Also, experience with process flow diagramming using MS Visio, ability to create functional and system design documentation based on approved business requirements and familiarity with the State of Michigan, System Engineering Methodology (SEM) is required.

 

Objectives

The person in this position should have experience working as part of a project team and be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with system users and other project team members.

Effective written and verbal communication skills are required The person in this position will function as a lead Java developer, to provide mentoring to other Java developers on the project team during the construction, testing and implementation phases of the project.  .

Description of the requested work, including deliverables and knowledge transfer 1.  Function as a lead worker by providing project background, and assist other project team members with Java development questions and problems during the construction phase of the Corporations Division rewrite project.

2.  Participate with team members, using fundamental principles, theories, techniques and methodologies of data processing to gather and analyze facts, define problems and devise solutions 3.  Assist in and conduct client interviews to gather and document system requirements for DELEG/BCS/Corporation rewrite project 4.  Work with clients during quality assurance testing to guarantee that all documented system requirements are being met.

5.  As necessary, create, modify and test PL/SQL scripts to query and retrieve data from the newly designed Corporations Oracle database.

6.  Establish and maintain effective relationships with system users and team members.

7. Document all developed processes, also perform transfer of knowledge to other team members.

8. Adhere to all established software development standards.

9.  As assigned, assist with the completion of the State of Michigan’s System Engineering Methodology (SEM) project documentation templates.
